The Studio conducts ongoing research and evaluation of new media technologies. Many of our projects push the edge of current technologies, combining them in new and interesting ways while looking for solutions that can be scaled to meet broader instructional needs.
The Studio serves as a collaborative environment, bringing together faculty from various disciplines to work on technology-intensive projects. UMBC's participation in Internet2 allows faculty working with the Studio to explore broadband video as a medium for working with colleagues world-wide.
